"Ebony and Ivory"

Sometimes we quarrel about the kind of skin
The way we talk and the way we do
It's all a laugh if we're honest to ourselves
The spirit of our character and the beauty within
It doesn't matter if we're black, white, yellow or red
 Tall, short...big or thin
In the end we're all the same
When it rains we all get wet
Express yourself the way you are
 and see the beauty within
No matter what people might say
 Language is not important
 Colors don't mean a thing
Accept these facts and our problems go away
Words by ~R. van Lieshout~
It does not matter what country born
Nor the colour of skin
There are many in the world forlorn
All being human makes us kin
Regardless where we traverse
We choose to be honest or deceive
Possible change of events adverse
In ourselves we must believe
Of others be not judgmental
Our values by which we live
Individual experiences instrumental
Morals and ethos not like a sieve
Take heed our own humanity
To suffer anguish and pain
Our own significant mortality
Brings about spiritual gain
